Our performed projects for fleet in service
At EO ENGINEERING, we have successfully performed multiple smaller and larger projects for fleet in service.
During the years 2022-2025 multiple various consultancy and engineering projects of various complexity were completed all around the globe, including, Inclining tests for international conventional fleet, evaluation and assessment of ship stability for international conventional fleet, preparation of intact and damage stability booklets and loading manuals, preparation of EEXI technical files, tonnage measurements and even supervision and consulting during repair and modernization of vessels.
EO ENGINEERING is also consulting other companies for new-building projects. One of the closest long-term partners is the Norwegian company Gannet Marine Group AS.
Modernization of river ferry “DARLING“ - Riga, Latvia, 2025
The project consisted of full project development for developing a hybrid-type propulsion unit for the vessel, to utilize classic diesel propulsion unit together with fully electric drive line. The electric motor is capable to be used as propulsion motor when sailing solely on electric power, and also to be used as shaft-generator to re-charge the batteries while sailing with diesel engine. The result is a vessel of improved environmental friendliness and lowered levels of noise.
Modernization of river ferry “MISISIPI“ - Riga, Latvia, 2024
The project consisted of full project development for modification of engine room, steering gear, installment of bowthruster, modernization of vessel systems and automation. There were also structural improvement and alterations performed to improve also the overall structural integrity of the vessel.
Modernization of river ferry “GALAXY“ - Riga, Latvia, 2024
The project consisted of full project development for modification of vessel from being equipped with classical diesel propulsion into being fully electric. The vessel delivers improved environmental friendliness, easier maintenance, better cost-effectiveness during short and long term, reduced noise levels for passenger comfort and improved response and maneuverability of the vessel.
Modernization of engine room for river ferry “VECRĪGA“ - Riga, Latvia, 2022/2023
The project consisted of full project development for modification of engine room, including propulsion units, systems and equipment, to install new engines of improved environmental friendliness with such aims as to emit less CO2 emissions, to improve fuel efficiency, to improve the reliability, to reduce short term and long term maintenance costs, to reduce noise levels for improved passenger comfort.
